Asian American Stories on the Table: Feed it Forward is Here
From pop-ups to pastries, join us in sharing Asian American stories through food.
Hi everyone! 👋🏼
Welcome to Radiant Bay, a newsletter by Asian American Futures that connects Bay Area Asian Americans to the culture and civic conversations that shape our communities. We start with what you already love (food, art, community) and share opportunities for community engagement. Politically curious, but not sure where to start? This is for you.
This past Saturday, we launched our Feed it Forward campaign with a free pop-up in San Francisco.
✨Thank you to the 500 of you who came to our pop-up with Tacos Sincero!
We had a BLAST at the pop-up… More than 500 people came together on Saturday, September 27 to learn about Yuri Kochiyama and Malcolm X, two friends and activists during the Civil Rights movement in the 1950s.
Yuri and Malcolm were united not just by their shared birthday on May 19, but by their passion to change the world. Their relationship is a reminder that solidarity is powerful—and that knowing our history shows just how deeply our stories are connected. Learn more about them here.
🍽️ Continue your support with the Bay Area’s buzziest Asian American-owned cafe & bakeries for exclusive item drops!
Food has always been a part of how our communities tell our stories, celebrate our histories, and strengthen connections. Feed it Forward is about creating food experiences that tell our stories, and makes our shared history feel real, tangible, and worth protecting.
That’s why from October 1 through October 31, we’re partnering with the following Asian American-owned bakeries and cafe in the Bay Area for limited-time collaboration items!
